Summer Flights in Provence with Special Guests

Every summer in Southern France, I enjoy inviting guests to experience the freedom of flying in my Blackwing. This season, I had the pleasure of welcoming two special passengers on board for memorable flights over Provence.

The first was Vakhtang (Vato) Makharoblishvili, the EU (and Luxembourg) Ambassador of Georgia. Together, we flew from Fayence to Aix-en-Provence, where we enjoyed a relaxed lunch on the terrace. During the flight, I explained the basic flight controls, and Vato quickly felt at ease while testing them. His natural composure in the cockpit was remarkable, and it made the flight even more enjoyable.

Later, Catherine Zivoder from Luxembourg joined me for a scenic tour around the Plan de Canjuers, the large French military training area north of the Esterel. We carefully navigated around the restricted airspace, staying just outside the danger zones. Catherine particularly enjoyed the mountain scenery, and on our return we passed the Mont Lachens, the highest peak in the Var.

Flying in Provence is always a joy, but sharing the experience with curious and enthusiastic guests adds a special dimension. Clear skies, good company, and the beauty of Southern France – a perfect recipe for summer flying.

Spread the Love!
