Spring is in the air: High Pressure over Western Europe

IMG_7142

After a long, dark winter, the weather is finally taking a turn for the better. A massive high-pressure zone is set to build over Western Europe in the coming days, promising clear skies and stable flying conditions – great news for pilots and aviation enthusiasts alike!

With the weather improving, it’s the perfect time for me to take care of a couple of visits I’ve been meaning to make. First on the list is Clouddancers, a company based northwest of Hamburg at Itzehoe/Hungrige Wolf (EDHF). I’ve never been there before, so I’m curious to see the airfield and their setup.

Then, I need to stop by EDAZ Berlin-Schoenhagen to meet Dr. Sebastian Goltze of Goltze Engineering. They’re the brains behind ADL, the satellite weather system we use in our aircraft. Their real-time weather updates have been invaluable, so I’m looking forward to discussing their latest developments in person.

With blue skies ahead, these trips should be both productive and enjoyable. If you’ve been waiting for a reason to get back in the air, this could be the moment!

The route and performance

Here’s a look at my planned route :

The total distance for this round trip is 874 nautical miles, with an estimated flight time of 5 hours and 45 minutes – without landing time. With a True Airspeed (TAS) of 155 knots, this should be a smooth and efficient journey, making good use of the favorable weather conditions.

Exciting times ahead , time to get flying!

Spread the Love!
