After more than a decade of blogging here, my energy since becoming AOPA Luxembourg president in 2018 has been mostly channelled into AOPA.LU.

With my Blackwing now showing almost 150 hours on the clock, it’s time for a new adventure – a long Summer Flight to the Nordics, this time with my son Alejandro joining me. That makes me very happy: he has been flying with me since he was born – his very first flight was at just 7 months old.

The first word he ever said wasn’t “papa” or “mama”, but vliegtuig. My wife Krista says he caught the same aviation bug as I did – I can only confirm.

Fifteen years later, we’re preparing for our biggest father–son trip yet: Chasing the Summer Sky. The route is still tentative – the weather will decide – but the excitement is real.
