About us
Flying is one of the things I live for. My professional life has been in management consultancy and real estate investment, but my true passion has always been aviation.
I began my flying journey at the age of 15 as a member of the Belgian Air Cadets, where I trained in a military environment to become a glider (soaring) pilot. In the late 1980s, as I started working, I took motor-flying lessons and became a private pilot. Since then, I have flown to many destinations across Western Europe, always eager to discover new places and enjoy the freedom of the skies.
Over the years, my flying adventures have taken me far beyond Europe. Since 2005, I have made five major flying trips across the USA, Canada, and Mexico, each one opening up a new world of experiences. In 2015, I flew in the Caucasus, discovering the breathtaking landscapes of Georgia and its surroundings. A year later, in 2016, I was the initiator of a large rally from Luxembourg to Georgia, flying a Cessna 182 and leading 45 participants in my wake — a true milestone in my flying story. More recently, in 2024, I crossed the Atlantic once again for an unforgettable journey in Uruguay and Argentina, exploring South America from the cockpit.
Along the way, I have flown several aircraft types, beginning with the Cessna 172 and 182, but my greatest affection was for the Mooney 20J, which I flew extensively.
Since the early 2010s, I have also been active in the pilot community through AOPA (Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association). I have served as President of AOPA Luxembourg since 2018 and contribute to the international organisation IAOPA, working to promote and defend the interests of general aviation both locally and globally.
In 2024, I took a decisive step in my aviation journey: moving from being a passionate private pilot to a proud aircraft owner with the acquisition of a brand-new Blackwing. Equipped with the latest technology, this aircraft represents not only a personal milestone but also a new chapter of even greater passion for flying.
The aviation spirit is something I have passed on to my son, Alejandro. His very first word was not “papa” or “mama”, but vliegtuig — “airplane” in Dutch. He has been flying with me since he was a baby, and the same aviation virus that sparked my own journey now inspires the next generation
